Pembelajaran merupakan perubahan permanen yang secara relatif terdapat dalam kemampuan seseorang. Oleh karenanya, kita tidak dapat mengamati perubahan-perubahan ini, kita harus bisa  menyimpulkan atau menduga bahwa asosiasi dan tanggapan yang baru tersebut telah diperoleh ketika kita mengamati perubahan pencapaian seseorang pada situasi tertentu .
